Which legacy characters are confirmed?

The official Legacy Characters Reimagined announcement confirms four classic characters for Halloween: The Game: Bob Simms, Annie Brackett, Lynda van der Klok, and Laurie Strode. These are not announced as background-only cameos. The official page says they will appear in interactive singleplayer moments inspired by the original film and will also be playable Civilians in multiplayer.

The announcement places the four characters inside a larger Standard Edition launch roster. Alongside six newly introduced Haddonfield residents, the Standard Edition is confirmed to include 10 playable Civilians: Jennifer, Tanya, Rachel, Eric, Marcus, Thomas, Bob, Lynda, Annie, and Laurie. In other words, the four legacy characters are part of the base launch roster rather than a Digital Deluxe-only character group.

This page uses “legacy” in the narrow, sourced sense used by the official announcement: characters returning from the original Halloween film and being reimagined for the game. It does not claim that every film character, every later franchise version, or every named NPC is playable. The official roster statement is the boundary for the launch list.

Bob Simms

Bob Simms returns as one of the four reimagined legacy Civilians. The official announcement presents him as the brawny boyfriend in the group and confirms that he will be voiced by Nicholas Leung. That gives readers a reliable identity marker without requiring invented gameplay labels. Bob’s published role is as a familiar face connected to the 1978 film, an interactive presence in the singleplayer story, and a playable Civilian in multiplayer.

The official source does not assign Bob a published stat line, signature-trait effect, starting item, weapon preference, or perk deck. It also does not say that his physical description translates into a particular gameplay advantage. Any claim that Bob is the strongest, fastest, or best choice for a particular build would go beyond the confirmed information. For launch coverage, the useful fact is that he is a standard-roster legacy character whose appearance and voice are part of the game’s reimagined version of Haddonfield.

Annie Brackett

Annie Brackett is also confirmed as a playable legacy Civilian, with Kaitlyn Robrock providing her voice. The official announcement connects the four legacy characters to interactive scenes inspired by iconic moments from the original film, so Annie belongs to both sides of the game’s character presentation: she is part of the singleplayer connection to the source material and part of the multiplayer Civilian roster.

The official announcement does not publish Annie’s numbers or a detailed multiplayer kit. It does not specify her movement, repair ability, combat output, fear resistance, perk cards, starting items, or any exact relationship between her film identity and her game stats. Those details should remain marked as unknown until an official source or repeatable launch evidence provides them. A roster guide can identify Annie confidently without pretending that a biography is a full gameplay specification.

Lynda van der Klok

Lynda van der Klok is the fourth legacy Civilian confirmed by the official reveal, and Angela Carbone is named as her voice performer. The announcement describes the legacy group as a set of fresh reinterpretations developed with attention to the original film. Lynda therefore represents the game’s effort to bring a recognizable 1978 character into a new interactive setting rather than simply copying a film still into a character menu.

For players looking for a practical selection guide, the official information stops short of a recommendation. Lynda’s exact stats, signature traits, starting equipment, perks, unlock requirements, and role-specific strengths are not listed in the legacy reveal. The official progression overview confirms that Civilian characters have unique stats and signature traits, but it does not publish Lynda’s values or effects. That distinction prevents a source-based roster page from becoming an unsupported build guide.

Laurie Strode

Laurie Strode completes the confirmed legacy quartet. Chelsea Krause is named as Laurie’s voice performer, and the official article describes her as the quintessential final girl. Laurie is included in the Standard Edition’s 10 playable Civilians, so her presence is not limited to a Digital Deluxe purchase. The announcement also says the legacy characters have interactive appearances in the singleplayer story and playable Civilian roles in multiplayer.

The preorder announcement separately mentions advance access for a “Final Girl” Laurie Strode cosmetic in the Digital Deluxe package. That is a cosmetic benefit, not a statement that Laurie herself is locked behind Deluxe. The standard launch roster already lists Laurie as a playable Civilian. The official pages do not publish the cosmetic’s full appearance details, a gameplay effect, or a requirement beyond the edition information, so this guide does not infer one.

How do legacy characters differ from Digital Deluxe Civilians?

The cleanest comparison is roster status. Bob, Annie, Lynda, and Laurie are four of the 10 Civilians confirmed for the Standard Edition launch roster. The other six names in that list are Jennifer, Tanya, Rachel, Eric, Marcus, and Thomas. Richard and Alexis are different: the official preorder page calls them two exclusive Civilian characters included with Digital Deluxe.

Character groupConfirmed statusEdition context
Bob, Annie, Lynda, LaurieReimagined legacy characters; playable CiviliansIncluded in the 10-Civilian Standard Edition launch roster
Jennifer, Tanya, Rachel, Eric, Marcus, ThomasNewly introduced Haddonfield charactersIncluded in the same Standard Edition launch roster
Richard and AlexisExclusive Civilian characters named by the preorder announcementIncluded with Digital Deluxe and the Digital Deluxe Edition Upgrade at launch

The Digital Deluxe page also lists an Inmate Michael Myers skin, advance access for the Final Girl Laurie Strode cosmetic, and a Halloween: The Game comic. Those are edition benefits around the character roster; they do not change the official classification of the four legacy characters as standard playable Civilians. The preorder FAQ says a Digital Deluxe Edition Upgrade will be available at launch, but it does not provide biographies or gameplay details for Richard and Alexis.

What do legacy characters unlock or do?

The official legacy reveal confirms a default multiplayer outfit for these characters and says that completing various singleplayer challenges can unlock alternate costumes and cosmetic items, including recognizable looks connected to the original film. It does not publish a complete challenge checklist, an exact unlock order, or a list of every cosmetic. The story page also confirms that singleplayer includes optional objectives and collectibles, but it does not map each item to a specific legacy character.

For that reason, this page should be used as a roster and identity reference. The Michael Myers character guide covers the opposing role and its officially announced stalking design. The Heroes of Haddonfield page covers the six new names and the complete 10-Civilian launch list. The editions and price guide covers the separate Digital Deluxe timing and purchase comparison.

What remains unpublished?

As of September 4, 2026, the official source set does not provide per-character stat values, perk effects, signature-trait rules, damage values, health values, movement data, weapon performance, best builds, or kill statistics for Bob, Annie, Lynda, or Laurie. It also does not confirm whether every legacy character shares the same starting items or whether their progression paths differ beyond the broad customization systems described by the developers.

Those are launch-data gaps, not reasons to remove the characters from the roster. The confirmed facts are already useful: four film characters return, all four are playable Civilians, all four connect to the singleplayer presentation, and all four sit inside the Standard Edition’s 10-character launch list. Everything beyond that should wait for an official reveal or documented testing.
